OK, I snapped a couple of quick pics. I'll get better ones once I finish packing todays orders. The new plug is square. It measures 1 1/16" across and has a base that is only just under3/16" thick. The stem is 3/4" long and 3/8" around. I know it is nothing glamourous but it is a square plug. It has a nice profile and the size makes it great to give you an idea on how big the coral growing on it actually is. The stem comes off pretty easily and with the thin profile of the base it shouldn't look too out of place once it is placed in your reef. I personally prefer round plugs but I get a lot of requests for something like this. They will come in 25 count bags as well as 200 count bulk bags. I have a few small count bags here right now but we haven't even gone into production yet. Hopefully I will have enough inventory to start filling orders mid to late January. We still have to do some ship testing to see how these handle travel. I think they will perform well. I also use bigger egg crate. If you have the black stuff with smaller holes the spacing will be closer.
I only sent one bulk bag to Bill a few weeks ago to play with. Right now I only have six bulk bags made up. We are really having a hard time getting our inventories back to a comfortable level this year. Lots of illnesses and unplanned issues to deal with. We have a baby living with us pretty much full time now too. That is taking an amazing amount of time away from things. The kid just doesn't sleep and is crying all the time. My wife and I are walking zombies half the day. I've never had to drink so much coffee in my life. You could pretty much inject it into my veins right now.
Bill wasn't planning on getting an order this week. I will not be at the show. I just told Phil we have to kick it in gear on these. We'll be putting more focus on them inthe next couple of weeks.
