Default abstract reef

Aquarium Shine is delighted to highlight our latest project completed in the HQ of Quicken Loans, Detroit. This 650 gallon saltwater aquarium art project is an unique eye of something completely different for the aquascape scenery. Credited to Erik Nordin, Michigan's creative artist, BASHSEA filtration, designing from Aquarium Shine/SACHSE Construction and the endless hours on the installation from myself and my staff. Below is what we call a "start to finish". Taking an idea and turning into someone's piece of art. We would love to hear your comments on this interesting way of displaying an aquarium. This aquarium is the first of its kind in the United States that we know about. Enjoy!

Interesting concept.

Are those LED's over the tank?

It's finished? I guess I don't understand the purpose of spending all that money to put plastic in it. They could have just used a piece of glass on the opening and put the plastic stuff behind it and just tell people it's a fish tank.

This concept is certainly very different, but if you see their offices, the idea flows on how the offices are designed.

Ecoxotic Panorama LED fixtures. Lights were chosen to bring out the coloration of this glass work. They liked the water shimmering look that these lights provide without having to use halides. With the led stunner strips just on, the aquarium coloration is unbelievable viewing. These lights are controlled with a timer to minimize as much algae as possible.

This is NOT plastic! These pieces are hand blown glass from a local artist. He has gone through many saltwater pictorials to simulate these pieces. You have to appreciate art to appreciate this type of feature.

I think it is awesome! Looking forward to seeing some angels and tangs swimming in there!

I love blown glass art...definitely wouldn't mind having something like that in my wall.

Does the artist realize how hard it will be to keep clean??? I am sure its in good hand though!

Very cool concept, and a really nice work of art! Keep us updated on this awsome tank please.
