It's your tank, it's a 60 gallon cube with sticks up top, clams in the middle and LPS scattered galore!! You have an mp10, mp20 and an mp40 with a few korilla nanos and a K1 to boot.
What would you use?
Where would you place them?
What mode and why?
Peep my tank thread if it helps you make suggestions!
Center overflow or corner?
If it's a center overflow use the Mp20 near the front on the left side. Then use the Mp10 on the back towards the right side. That should eliminate all dead spots.
If it's a corner overflow use the Mp40 on the back, about 3/4 of the way up... near the center but that will depend on the rock placement.

That's what Im talking about John!! Good idea, only problem is I was trying to avoid putting anything on the right side as it buts up against the couch and I can see my daughter using is to do chin ups.
Buy ya, its a center overflow.
I just so happened to have had a 60 Cube... so...
Either way, the Mp40 would be too much with another Vortech. Of course, they are controllable. :D
So, if you can't put anything on the sides... I'm assuming you can't put anything on the front. :D So, that pretty much leaves putting one on each side of the overflow... make sure to turn the wetside accordingly so it won't be sucking sand off the bottom. :D
As for the other pumps... meh, who wants to see wires?

Is there enough space behind the tank? put the 10 on one side of the overflow toward the top and the 20 further down on the other side?

Keep any flow towards the mid-top for your sticks and clams. That should create enough extra flow for the bottom?
Use the 10 and 20 at a right angle to each other in the back left corner and left side. They can create the turbulence you need, I think lol.

You would probably be fine with just the mp20 but you may as well work the mp10 in there somewhere.

Hmmm, nobody's seen my tank thread??
Center over flow, scape is a crescent shape reef wall. There is an elevated sand bed in the middle 1/3 the way up where my clams and a few acans are. Water flows under it as well. Unfortunately the reef touches the left wall so there is only a small area at the top perfect for the mp20. On the other side is where I have been running my mp10.
Today I did pull the 10 and put it on the right side by the couch and my daughter didn't mess with it. So we will see if there are any benefits?
Not really digging the look and not seeing any noticeable change in beneficial flow for the sticks.

Like I said the mp20 should handle it, lol.
