Rubble, and not Barney!

A question to those of you who have bought LR through the mail.
In a 45 pound box of Fiji LR how much rubble (in pounds) would you say is acceptable to have on the bottom of the box?
I know, ideally there should be none but just want to know peoples thoughts on this before (if I do) complain.
Latest 45 pound box had 7 pounds of rubble on the bottom. Other side of the coin is that the rock I was sent is more branchy looking (like Lalo) than solid chunk Fiji pieces and looks very nice and will provide lots of nooks and crannies for critters. :D

7 pounds is a tad high, but I don't know if it's anything to scream about. It's like 15%. Who knows how many small rocks they had in there, and how many are broken during shipment. If you have enough to decorate, use the rubble behind the rocks and in the sump for microfauna. Just my .02

I'd have to agree... maybe a bit higher than normal, but no so much that I'd worry over too much.... Did you actually get 45lbs worth of LR? We've only ordered in LR once, I think it was 25lbs... we got well over that and a few pounds of rubble too...

The rock I did get looks so good that I am not going to complain to the people I got it from. I should have weighed the box when I got it but did not. I am going to check the FedEx label to see if it has a shipping weight on it. I am going to use the rubble for frags and sump use.

i agree, 7lbs is probably a tad high but it doesnt take much rock to weigh 7lbs(especially when the lfs weighs it) , i wouldnt worry about it much.

The box weighed a total of 45 pound according to the shipping label and not more so I bought 7 pounds of LR rubble. I emailed the company to just let them know about the problem and am not seeking any credit or anything because the rest of the rock looks so nice.
