Hi reefers,
I have a small dilemma. I have both a UV and heater that have suction cups that should hold them in place. The suction cups work for about 1 minute, come loose and the UV and header blow around a bit. Anyone found a solution?

Are you trying to stick them to glass or plastic or what?

I'm trying to stick them to the back of the tank which is glass.

one method I found that works is simply glue the suction cups to the wet side of a magnet (magfloat) and stick to glass with the magnets
I use this for anything that used to use suction cups to hold them IE powerhead feeding clip whatever works great

I find I have to scrub the glass pretty good before I stick them, any little bumps will cause them to pop off, sometimes I also heat them up a bit in some hot-to-the-touch water, theory being that as they cool, the little bit of air still trapped under them will cool as well and increase the vacuum created.

Give the suction cup a good gentle pull after pushing it into place. Plus Josh, clean glass good, clean suction good.!
