what is the suggested alk, cal, ph, levals to get the coraline growth
at rapid production. I see many tanks at the local fish supply and all
of the beautifull reef tanks have this lush blanket of coraline algae
growing on the back wall of the tank , how is this accomplished. does
it have to do with the regular changing of water and the correct
balance of water perameters? If so what is the recomended levals and
how often should i do H20 changes. what addatives should be used? i
have a 55 gal fish reef tank 192 wtt comp flour , penguine 130, aqua
clear 70, sea clone 150 skimmer, 2 pwr hds.

#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#High levels of Calcium (+400 ppm) and high Magnesium (+1450 ppm) will accelerate the growth of coraline algae. It also prefers areas ofhighwater flow areas( sump return pipes) but will spread to all surfaces.I am sure that regular water changes will help by providing trace elements.#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl# #ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl#

Don't forget that alk is equally, if not more important in the 9-10 dKH range, than the Ca.
