Evil,

After all the work on the 270 arrays I am taking it down (finally ending a war with my wife over it) and putting up a 60*24*20 rimless 125 upstairs. Going to focus on chalices, polyps, and some high end acropora. I have 4 of the coral growers specials from cutter with 40 degree optics (4 cool white and 3 Royales) that I am going to add in areas where the SPS cpral island will be). SO I have like 220 LED's that I can take off the old arrays if need be. I am trying to keep the driver count to maybe 10 max. I have 24" heat sinks that are a bit over 8" wide from heat sink usa. I was thinking I would run them front to back or would it be better to have them cut down to say 12 inches and run 2 strings of twelve on each? My concern with that is the tank is 24 wide. But I also have optics which can take care of the spread issues. And I am not planning on having this any closer than 10 inches from the top of the tank.

This one inspired me (the rig)

Guess I'm having a hard time visualizing this one. Care to throw together a simple diagram?

NOt really good at the diagrams on the computer.

Essentailly it will have three heat sinks measuring 12*8 over a 60 " tank. Changing out optics to 60 and 80 degree since the lighting fixture will be closer. I am going to use the 7 up with the 40 degree optics to spot light a few coral islands. The tnak is only 20" deep so the 80 degree optics will be fine I think. Using like 72 LEds over this one.

Give it a shot and see how it works.
