View Full Version : Tanks, Sumps & Refugiums Suggest a store to buy a tank?

Ok, now that *I* am done using my brothers tank as a test subject :) ,I
am ready to get my own. I was wondering if there are any onlinestores
you guys can recommend where I can by a good tank. I am lookingfor a
corner tank actually. Preferably with a stainless steel trim/stand#ed_op#br#ed_cl##ed_op#br#ed_cl#Something like they have at my LFS#ed_op#br#ed_cl##ed_op#img src="http://www.1000islandaquarium.com/images/aquariumm3b.jpg"#ed_cl##ed_op#br#ed_cl##ed_op#br#ed_cl#Pretty cool eh? you should ask who made the stand at your lfs. they should know. I actually really like that... if you find out a place that can do that online, let me know. Il keep my eye out for you as well. we'll keep each other posted.

They made that tank. They build custom ones, but are kinda pricey. That tank goes for $4,500.00

Generally the better route to go would be through a local dealer if possible. Their markup on special order stuff like tanks is generally pretty low, let them eat the huge shipping costs on heavy objects.

If you are looking for the cheaper way you can try glasscages.com
seams to be the best of the cheap end.
Thea use good material but their silicone work is not a one

Try doing a search for metal work shops that you can contact and see if they can build something like that paticular stand you want. All you need is the skeletal structure for the stand(wood), so you might need to go throught two places possibly, unless you know how to do all that stuff and have the equipment to do it.
