Seio 1500's

You want to see some serious water morement... try a pair of Seio 1500's. Man do they rock! I put one in each back corner of the 180 and have them pointed at the center of the front glass. On the bad side I had to turn them each down to minimum flow for now, we'll need to re-arrange a good number of coral so they won't get blown away before I can open them back up to full bore.

They really stirred things up though, the amount of detritus and stuff that was wisked up into the water column (where it can be skimmed out) was amazing.

Thanks to Davejnz and JerryC for recommending them, wish I hadn't waited this long to order them.

Those things are pretty sweet. I've got a 620 in a 26G bow and it puts out some serious flow. I like it a lot. I've toyed with getting a few more and adding them to my 120g tanks downstairs. They're on sale at DFS right now too. I think I got mine for $32

I use the 820's.they really do provide alot fo flow that isn't very concentrated.For the upcoming 75,I'm probably gonna go with a pair of the 1500's behind the rockwork.RIO has had a bad rep in the past,but i've used there products for yrs and havn't had any problems with them.

The 1500's REALLY move some serious water. Right now I have them
running without the nozzles attached and getting a super wide pattern.
I've had the chance to see and feel the Tunze jobbers running, and the
flow is extremely similar, but for just over $60 instead of hundred who
could complain. You know me,you can never have too much flow in a reef tank.I'm shooting for around 3500GPH in the tank which will be a mix of mostly LPS and a few choice SPS.I might only need one as the closed loop will be delivering around 1200GPH.That leaves me with 800gph for a return pump to achieve my desired goal.
BTW,What are the dimensions of the 1500's?

According to the box 7.3"H X 2.8"W x 3.5"D. I'm guessing that is with the full enclose on.. i'll have to measure one tommorrow in the horizontal configuration without the discharge nozzle.
