Polarized filters

I was on the other site and read you could use polarized filters to find out if glass is tempered. Does anyone have any information on this?

I have heard the same, but have no info on the subject.

You have a glass shop close? Most glass shops will tell ya if its tempered or not.

Yeah that is the one thing I do have fairly close but dragging a 150 down to the glass shop is quite a chore.

Not sure if this applies but with my polarized sunglasses on car windows often look kind of checkered...
