Suction cups..... Well suck. LOL they should have given them a different name.
Anyway I've found that if once they are clean u firmly press them to the glass and then give them a gentle tug to set them. Give it a whirl and let us know how it goes.

How far down do you want to put them and are you using a sump?
Reason being is that if you put them on a dry wall, add a little moisture to the cups they will stick like super glue.
Putting them on under water will trap to much water between the glass and cups.

If you're not putting the powerhead too deep in the tank... then I'd suggest skipping the suction cups and using the clip that comes with MJ powerheads.

yeah suction cups suck, id put in the WTB forum and look for someone who isnt using theres see if they will give you their set free, i think i have a mj1200 one laying around i don't use, i dont know if it will work or not but maybe its just the suction cups you have? i know if they were wet for a while then you just let them sit out they dry rot really easy.

If you get stuck needing to use the suction cups-

Make sure your glass is VERY clean. Suction cups too. I have added a minute amount of vasaline to them too, in the past. It helps with the hold, and I have never seen negative effects from it.

Glass really clean and twist them around some. I still have the same problem with my powerhead but my cups are in a triangular patern so twisting them keeps them stuck. Sometimes you just have to replace them. I dont know how mj cups are attached so this may not help.

eventually they lose their shape and have to be replaced. I've stuck them on using aquarium safe silicon, it will hold for awhile, but eventually even it will fail.
