@Heidi~I like yours better  One thing I didn't notice or see, are lids for either one. Do you see one?

Mine has a lid and so does yours I like that mine is a fish trap :) so you technically would never have to net a fish

Have you ever used it as a fish trap? If so did it work ok?

Nope never tried that. I prefer the 2 liter bottle method for a fish trap.

The thing I like about the first one is the outlet on the bottom-no tubing required. But I like #2 more still. No netting except for the lfs part. I just may have to get one :)

reef gently is a great idea but i would want a hospital tank with it as it uses the store water and adds it right to you main system.

The reef gently we have doesn't use store water. It has a drip line that you drip your tank water into the container. Then you can pull out the internal chamber which drains the water and put the fish right into your tank.

Hi!

I work for CPR and don't want to break any forum rules, but thought I could answer some questions if people have specific ones.

CPR will have some videos released soon to help show how First A.I.D. works, but essentially, it works on hydrostatic pressure, so water only goes one way. The set up is incredibly simple and we use a handy bracket to attach the unit to the tank. Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks a lot! It's great when a video accompanies a product. I just bought the CPR Aquafuge2. I found a video on Youtube of another using it, but the video didn't really show the aquafuge2 in action. Just saying :)

I hear you on the videos :) ...there is one in production for the AquaFuge, but completion has been a bit delayed to get ramped up on some of the other newer products we have rolling out. Hopefully it'll be out soon. Don't hesitate to ask me any questions outside of the thread if you are still unsure of something, or want a recommendation...we see so many different set ups I might be able to share others' experiences with you, which might be helpful.

Thanks for the interest!

OK so thanks for posting!! (And welcome :) ) I have a bakpak 2R+ skimmer and love it! But I am wondering if I could maybe put a different intake pump on it that would be a little more powerful? (currently has a "reo") Just wondered if there was any you recommended? Or maybe is changing the pump a big no-no .. .I don't know?? hahaha thats why I ask . . . oh yeah sorry for the tread hijack But I know Miz wont mind :)

Well, I'm new, but if you say Miz won't mind ;)...and thanks for the welcome...

You probably have the Rio600 PT on your unit. Depending on how old it is and how much regular cleaning it gets, it probably is not working quite as efficiently as when it was new, so depending on those factors, I would try getting a new Rio600 (you'll probably notice a bump in performance...you can reuse the venturi kit on your current pump). But if you wanted to switch, you could get the modified Accela pump that we also ship with the unit (dealer's choice). Look for ASP1-1000 (replacement code) and make sure that it says that it has been modified for the BakPak. The Accela acts like a MaxiJet (very similar pumps) but the venturi inlet we put on there is much more consistent than the one that is on the MJ (venturi basket attachment). The modified Accela replaced the venturi basket MJ for us (about 3 years ago).

If you're looking to boost performance in the same size package, you can also check out our AeroForce skimmer...same size, significantly increased performance and it runs virtually silently (really). There are some other great enhancements as well.
