Big difference with the clean glass :-) Looking good!
Have you decided "to scrape or not to scrape" yet? A word of advice is you do, when you go to paint the tank back, use an enamel based paint. I used latex, big mistake, doesn't adhere to the glass for crap and is already pulling away from the edges on the 180, so it's going to be either a constant touch up deal for a while or peel it off and start over :( only left 8.5" clearance between the tank and wall, so it'd be a royal pain to repaint. :sigh:

You'll find a way to "Dave-rig-it"... I have faith, my briny brother. BTW, saw a tank that had a similar background to yours using blue backing... seems the attached the backing in a similar way to tinting auto windows... used a little veggie oil between the backing and glass, then squeegied out the excess oil and timmed after drying. Try a tester on some scrap tank and give 'er a try.

Nice try about skirting the real question... you gonna scrape your tank or not? hahaha
But a good idea, though window tint is pretty scarce up here, really strict laws on it, nothing darker than 35% transparancy alllowed so nobody even stocks it, and they won't order it in either since the DOT has color restrictions too... i was originally planning on tinting the windows on my big truck blue, but found out I'd get popped with a pretty stiff fine. if I decide to start over and tint I'll have to find an online dealer for it. I like the color I have now, looks even better on the 180, Angel wants me to change the color on "HER" 55 now. She 'gave' me the 180, more like a token gesture so I'd get it set up cycled and stuff, then she'll move it. hahaha But definately going with agressive critters and coral.

It seems to grow really fast once they start to branch off. Dakar, I'm not talking window tint, but the actual aquarium backing... just adhered in a similar way to window tint.
