34 Gallon Cube build
34G cube tank. Slowly building this tank, 30ish gallon sump, cabinet/stand, Reef Octopus NWB-150 skimmer. Build in progress.
It was originally drilled with one 1" hole on the top right. I have done the following so far:
- Vinyl black background - cut from a blueprint vinyl machine
- Had 2 drain holes drilled 1"
- 1200 GPH overflow with bulkheads
- 1" bulkhead return reduced to a 3/4" dual nozzle loc-line (waiting for loc line to be delivered)
-Return pump to be decided and ordered within a day or too
More pics will be posted soon after plumbing. Hopefully powered by LEDs within the next couple weeks

Nice start. In retro spect, I wish I would have done something like this vs. the solana AIO. This allows for much more versatility in terms of equipment usage, etc. Will be following for sure.

I agree!! I love the casters!! I would love to have me a tank on wheels! You can just put it anywhere you feel like on any given day.

Yea i got the stand for free from Delphi when i use to do contract work there but never ended up using it untill now. I do have one concern about the wheels.. I dont know how well it will support all that weight when the tanks are filled up. I was considering taking them off when Im ready to fill the tank. They are plastic and It sure would cause one **** of a mess if one were to break.....

If I were you I would take those wheels off, even if you wanted to move it around, it will more than likely be top heavy and be very tippy.

Yeah, now that you say they are plastic I would worry too. If they were those old heavy duty metal casters they might be ok but plastic can break pretty easily that would be a big disaster.

Finally getting back into the reef world to cure my fixation.....Didnt touch the tank over summer but now its time to break her in. I took the wheels off and already plummed everything but the wheels are rated for several hundres pounds a piece! I kinda regret taking them off now becasue it would have been nice to move if needed. They are actually heavy duty casters so they would have been fine... anyways Build WILL be done this weekend!
Pics to come... da da da

If you want casters on your stand you'll need to install sevral more of them to spread the weight evenly.Might want to consider a complete board with metal body caster and spread em out evenly then it will be no problem.I know a reefer who did this to his 90 gal corner tank.It works great and his tank is always somewhere diffrent when I visit.Nice build tho and great use of stand space and great planning. :)
PS--Sam placed his casters in as close to a 8 square pattern under his stand.Hope that makes sense
