Will this be hard to light??

#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#This a high 90 gallon. 25 inches! What kind of lighting will i need. Remember, i am on a budget. This tank is PACKED with cichlids so i should get a nice hefty credit for one of the LFS. Maybe even enough for light cause i already have $150 at one allready! What do you think? IMO, dual 250 watt halides supplimented with VHO actinics. Probably will be a larger price tag, though. Look into DIY... I've saved a fortune, that way.

I agree with reptor get a couple of 10K MH with a couple of vho's and then it all depends on what you want to keep in the tank. If you are looking to do corals then yes you going to need some serious light for that much depth. I would start saving now.

The halides should be 8-10 inches off the water surface.

You'd be surprised how much $$$ you can save if you go the DIY route for the lighting vs. buying a prefab jobber.
