Sound like a small % was effected, near the top, and lotts of that % was broken, which will fall to lower levels.

Hope the damage was for the best, and regrows/acclimates to its new conditions, and grows all the stronger!

Got an increase is fish spawning too? More food to grow new reef.

Just trying to be optimistic. Hope I am right. I am sure the broken branching reef affected, near the surface, left really nice bases to regrow, and be better for the worst.
