I have an mj1200 I'd like to use with my fuge but it puts out to much flow. However the surface skimmer I've ordered comes with a flow control. Can the mj be controlled with a flow valve? I hope this doesn't sound dumb but I don't want to ruin the mj. I've been wanting to use it on my tank but am not sure if I could put a control valve on it to like turn it down a bit :)

You can slow the flow on any pump as long as it is the outlet.
But I am not sure why you would want to, most of us want more flow.

I have a little 3g hob fuge and a 26g tank~with the flow the mj1200 puts out I get bubbles the size of balloons coming out of the return. Until I can fill the fuge up with some cheato or grapes it's just to much. For now I have nothing slowing the flow down....

OK, I remember what it was like to run a CPR HOB fuge.
Just a small tip, if you use cheato it will grow and in a small fuge you will need to turn it over every day or two. If you don't it will grow thick nasty algae that will kill the cheato and make a nitrate factory running three shifts. Been their done that, no fun.

Thank you 2pairs! That I did not know, so I'll be turning some lil-bit-o-cheato tonight :)
