Will ill post whit i have done before
I set up the new tank with water about 1/2 full and let run with a power head
for 4 weeks with new rock and sand
used a old tank to move the coral to with tank water
Moved the top 1/2 of sand from old tank to new tank spread over top of new
Moved rock from old tank to mix with new
moved water from old tank to finish filling tank
let settle for a few hours and add corals and fish

Fill your tank about a quarter of the way full with saltwater add your new sand and add some of the sand from your old tank let this settle with a powerhead for a day or 2 then add your rock and let that settle for a day or 2 and then top off the tank let that set for a day and then add your fish. Check your parameters on your tank before you add your fish you will have some die off in the move and this will cause a spike in your parameters but should level out pretty quickly.
Good luck :D

#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#yea tanks switches can be a little hecktick. do it just like everyone else said. Make sure you acclimate them for a long time before you let them out. Good luck#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl#

I'm in the same boat. I need to ditch my sand because it is crushed coral and is trapping. Good luck.
