finally got my new ballast (and a few more goodies)

I got the call that my ballast was in so I took the trip today and picked it up. well while I made the 110 mile drive I thought i should make the trip worth it so I had to pick up some more goodies. :D
I picked up 2 more nice frags of acans
nice hunk of beautifull monti
an awesome strawberry coral
a nice frag of staghorn
and a bright green capanella

I took some good pics and will post them when I get to the office tomorrow (sorry but my docking station is in my office) also it is sooooo nice to have some blue spectrum back into the tank I really missed the VHO

Nope, your getting a cached version from your machine, the hotlinks are not working, maybe photobucket is having issues. Why not just upload them to attach to your post instead. (no worries on CR's diskspace, we've got tons of room)

There they are! The one you have tagged as a strawberry coral looks like a blue tunicate, forgot the real name, I almost picked one up from an LFS, but was still researchig them....and they walked :(

But very cool!

The top two corals are Acanthastrea.echinata,nice pieces.IME,they can be aggressive and have a potent messenteries/sweepers.Feed often,but growth with this species isn't as fast as A.lordhowensis

yeah dakar it is a tunicate they are called strawberry tunicates, daveinz...... I hear ya my acan lords grow sooooo fast it is crazy!!!! but I could not pass the echinatas I got these frags for $10 a piece. I spot fed them about an hour after I had them in the tank they gobbled up some mysis shrimp.

thanks flame!!!! the guy I get these from gives me such good deals. I got the echinatas for $10 a piece and the stag horn was ten bucks, the strawberry he threw in. I got the monti for $10 and the capanella was $15. He really makes the trip worth it.

Always did like the looks of the Tunisates but all iv read sad hard to keep
so iv not got one.
Maybe you can keep us informed about it hope it dose good for you

you aint kidding, the guy that owns the place i got them from is a really good guy and he is the only place I go for my stuff.

yeah I will let you know how that tunicate does. I checked him this morning and he looked good.
