I am tossing around getting my mid-life crisis tank now ;). It would be rimless three sides starphire with a center overflow. I am thinking an SPS lagoon with it. Anthias as the dominant fish with maybe a trio of Rhomboids. I also want to do Ultra Maxima clams in it if I do go with this tank. I would get Great Lakes Aquriums to build it The build quality of my 125 is excellent and I got that from them.

Lighting would be accomplished with Led pendents. I have about 200 spare led's here right now and an assortment of optics from 40 degree's right on up to 80 degree's. Will likely get the Thomas Research dimmable drivers form nanotuners. Skimmer I will just scour the classifieds of various reef communities until I find what I want at a fait price.

I have a 48*24*8 frag tank on the way too.

Wow! A 200 gallon lagoon. Good luck. I can't wait to see the build.

It will be interesting. I am looking at the layout in the living room right now. I know that this computer desk is on the way out. I can put the desk top in my bedroom and use a laptop down here. I have a wireless network and it is maxed in terms of signal all through the house. I can put the router and my doul band wireless router in a shelf. I might end up with a 36x36x18. That is a 100 gallon cube. In that tank I can keep my recliner ;) and still enoy a decent cube tank. I have been looking at all the possible ways to mount the lighting as well. Now that I work midnights I am up all night long no mater what time I get up during the day

Going a little smaller wouls allow me to save on the skimmer, return pump and get a couple of vortechs to place on the back wall. My 125 is on a 36" tall stand. This one will be on a 30" stand so I can look at it form the couch and have an easy look down view as well.

I plan on doing another LED build for this one too. I can likely do just two pendents for a 36" tank. I learned how to polish aluminum so I can get a mirror shine on all the pieces.

Here is the frag tank I have coming.

Nice! Good find.

I'm sure the 100 gallon will be more than enough to enjoy a nice lagoon. If you have to take out all of the furniture in order to get the 200 gallon it kind of defeats the purpose of getting a tank that you can relax and enjoy.

It would be hard to enjoy it from the floor ;)

Tying it in w/ the current tank?

Not tying this one into the current system. I don't like to couple displays together. I am going set that one up over fall and winter. Looking to purchase the Genesis system for the cube.

it allows you to do automatic water changes and it also allows for top off that maintains perfect salinity. When a water change is going the top off system shuts down. I figure why not :). I am picking up some overtime to pay some things off right now and to start getting things together for the winter build project.
