well before adding anything you would need to test for that additive. me personaly i don't add anything to my tanks...

Agreed, if you do doing regular water changes some people can get away without adding any trace elements to their tank. It all depends on that and your inhabitants. Maybe also depends on the salt mix you use also.
I do use Julian Sprung's SeaElements once a week and it seems to work well.
Xenia (which I also have) require Iodine among other elemets which is why I add them.
