Well, I finally got around to pulling the pictures off of my camera. Please ignore how nasty my tank looks. It's dirty and only my halides are on, the T5 bulbs are off for the comparison.

Anyway... The first picture is with two 70W 10,000K Ushio bulbs. The second picture is with those bulbs replaced with two 70W 14,000K Astralux bulbs. I'm getting a lot better color out of things that are under the Astralux bulbs, and it appears that my green slimer is growing a lot faster.

The astralux look really sharp, blue but not overpowering amounts...

The Astralux bulbs are way more blue than the Ushios, but they don't look quite as blue as the picture. More of a white blue. Remember that these Astralux bulbs were brand spankin new too. They were only on for about 15 minutes before I took the picture, so they may calm down a bit. I haven't taken a picture recently. They've been over the tank for a couple weeks now.
