So who out there over skims? I mean run a skimmer rated way higher then your tank? I have always ran near the end of my tanks spectrum. I'm still thinking of upgrading my skimmer. Some say dirtier water is great for the softies and LPS. Anyways what is the tank size and skimmer rating?

I overskim- i like to overfeed. Keeps nutrients down, and food sources high.
I have noticed it keeps colors vibrant in all corals, and helps sustain the higher nutrient corals and at the same time keeps the lower nutrient corals all happy together.

I always use to use a factor of two when chooseing skimmers. Then I decided to go for broke and got a bubble king skimmer factor of two meant not makeing the house payment ha ha. So after reading that there rating was way under rated I matched it to my expected water volume with the new build. No regrets as far skim production. My wife's 75 use's a skimmer rated for up to 300 gallons. So guess that means I'm still confused ?
