They look like mushrooms but hard to tell

I downloaded, adjusted, sharpened, and can say that they are the typical 'brown button polyps' that you see in the trade. They are, for the most part, very hearty when it comes to photosynthesis or the lack thereof and typically live through the liverock handling/curing process.
