#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#I have a sunlight supply 400 watt ballast. Today I was installing some pc's to go with my halide, and I removed the lamp cord from the ballast without unplugging the unit from the wall first. When I plugged in the lamp cord and turned on the ballast........no light. After reading the back of the ballast it states to unplug unit from the wall before unhooking lamp cord. The ballast has a toggle switch which has a backlight and it is lit. Does that mean I blew the bulb?#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl#

Not likely... most halides have built in protection, they must cool down before allowing it to refire, firing a hot bulb causes a lot of wear on the probe that starts the bulb. Let things cool off and see what you get.
