You are correct, Ich requires a fish to host on/in, I can't think of a single reported case where ich was carried by any invert.

Dave is right on this, they need a soft body host to thrive, I bieleve its because inverts have exoskeletons and its difficult for the parasite to host on them.

That's what I was hoping for since my impatients got to me and I have added crabs and shrimp without QT. Thanks for the information.
