Picked up the 8 frags today at the Ann Arbor Swap. After acclimating, we moved re-fragged them to "skwooshy plugs" made by Salt Creeps. So far each frag has opened up and are looking great. We took a few pictures of the switch. For now we have them resting in our frag rack.
Frags are located on a magnetic frag rack in our fuge tank so it will be easier to adjust them to the light and water flow.
Our Harlequin is currently standing guard watching and protecting the frags in the fuge!

I know what happened. Our fuge has too many amphipods, I watched a huge one eat the glue off a Plug!

Well after a few weeks and through the holidays, I lost a few polyps. My Aussies melted away, I am now left with only two :(

I am feeding them a mix of reef snow, baby brine, and coral frenzy. So far so good. I am still learning how to grow out zoa's so this is a fun challenge. :)

TheLittleMermaid is my wife, the zoas are in "our" main tank and we try to do this hobby together so she put my name in the title. Although I don't know why, this contest is all her. Me and Zoas don't get along too well.:stupidme:

I forgot to mention we added a few pieces of rubble rock to the zoa rocks because they started to grow over the plugs and existing rocks. Also our last to Aussie invaders came off the rock and I found them in the corner of the tank. I could only save the one. I am crossing my fingers that it will work. One more month!

I only found the one polyp. I glued it to a rock. It has been hanging around. Half/way open, still alive but not much change since i glued it about a month ago. We will see what happens! I will be sure to let you know. Its so strange because they were great and I had quite a few and then I believe I burned them up by putting them in an area of the tank that had too strong of light. They are definitely a nice looking zoa!

I sure had alot of fun with this zoa grow out contest. What a learning process too! I have a final count of all my zoas. I will be sure to make a post tomorrow about each individual zoa and how they grew so differently. Can't wait until next year :)
