Are you interested in hosting a reef gathering for people in your area? Maybe you just got that new tank up and running or your frag tank setup. The MarineLife Aquarium Society of Michigan is looking for hobbyists interested in hosting small reef gatherings in their homes. Want to show off your system, get feedback from others, trade some corals or equipment, put faces to names, or just hang out and talk reefs with other hobbyists? Let us help bring hobbyists near you together for an afternoon or evening.

In exchange for opening your home MASM provide the following:

Help in covering the costs of food and drink
Free 1 year MASM membership ( includes discounts to all MASM events and some events at other clubs )
Promotion of the meeting on various forums and direct to our members
Raffle Items, and or speakers for the meeting
Discussion or topic ideas if desired

It's a great way to meet up with fellow hobbyists, share stories, and corals without the chaos of big overwhelming events! If you are interested in hosting a meeting. Please send me a PM and we will get the ball rolling today!

And... If I attend, I give 1 free frag to the host.

Actually the host usually ends up with a couple extra freebies as a thank-you from attendees. I know Jamey got a couple extra frags and stuff last month.

Im in the waterford area and i would without a doubt love to open my home up for a gathering of fellow reef heads. I would really appreciate getting everyones feed back on how i have my system hooked up, to my new frag tank, and i would just really like to meet some local people around me that have the same interest and its another excuse to be able to talk about fish and coral all night as well.;) I also just started my own business back in december. i currently make led light fixtures and im trying to fill my frag tank to the max so they can start growing out so i will be able to have a lot of variety to frag because i would like to be able to get a table at an up and coming coral swap and i would like to get others opinions about my led fixtures that i make.

the date really doesnt matter to me. it would just have to be any night except tue or thur cause i have class on those nights. like i said any date would work for me, i could go ahead and just pick one if that would make it easier. just let me know what the next step is
