Trying to reseal the front of my display tank before I get it set up.
The existing silicone was coming off and contained black mode spots.
I cant seem to find any silicone that is 100% silicone and says it aquarium safe or is water proof.

If your read the small print -ALL that I find state "not recommended for continuous under water use".

I can find small tubes at local fish shops but only 3oz., and I tried that, not happy with results as you can not get an even application.

THANKS

Did you try Lowes or Home Depot? That's where I mine.

HD & Lowes both have 100% silicone (DAP brand) but when you read the fine print it says "not recommended for continuous under water use"

Andy if you got some in stock i will come over and get it.

I've used it on my sumps for years and it hasn't failed me yet. Andy can order a tube that fits in a caulk gun. Thats your best bet.

Reef Paradise - Andy, had the Caulk so picked some up.

Dale helped get it done right and it looks great....

I will tell you that the Silicone I got from Andy at Reef Paradise is A LOT better then the 3oz tube you get at the hardware which says its made for aquariums.
It went on so much smoother that we didn't have any problem getting a real smooth application.

If your doing a display tank don't waste you time on the small tubes, get the 10oz good stuff and make life easier....
