Used to be a very active member here until my girl and i split in 07 and she sold all 13 of my tanks etc etc (long story short)

Any who...
I found one **** of a deal and didnt pass it up so it's time to get back in it. picked up a 200 gallon cube, stand, hood, 30 gal refugium/sump and all the plumbing and 1000 gph pump today.........all for 200 BUCKS OMG reef ready. I missed this place and hope i know some of the members or that they will remember me. not sure if my tank galleries are still on the site or not but im a "fragger" lol and copepod culturing etc so gimme a few months and maybe we will get somewhere. i'll post progress pics but it will be slow till i can get the LR and sand and lighting while money is tight.

good to be back.

ok so i picked up most of what i needed. (could not wait) plumbed everything and turned it on.... ugh bad impeller on my return pump, to broke to buy one. anyone know a good place to buy an impeller for a decent price?
numbers on the pump are
E160713
Model 24 Utility pump.
i think its 1000 gph or so.

I'll put up more pics soon when i get some taken with something other than my cell phone. got a couple snails and hermits and a cleaner shrimp today. we'll see how they do. if all goes well i may be ordering a few corals and inverts pack from saltwaterfish.com next week. anyone got other fav sites they use with good prices and quality livestock?

Out of cycle. Time to get it cleaned up. Picked up 50 astrea and 50 hermits. Also got a shroom, galaxia, star polyps and a couple really nice frags of zoa's.
Thanks to Jody Grow of totally exotic corals of southern Oregon. Will look better when I get the led lighting.

How did you get it through the cycle so fast???

greg97527

used mostly live rock, pressure washed the dead rock, used lots of live sand and an instant cycle product i've used before. its actually been since middle to end of december.

didn't like the way the sump/fuge was looking so i decided to replumb and set it up right. picked up some macro and a dirty 2700 k light and a bunch of rubble, changed overflows to 45 elbows and gate valves instead of 90's and ball valved, relocated the skimmer etc. picked up some more corals which ill get pics of later for you but here's what it looks like now compared to the last you seen.

Hey it's taking shape , would a couple peppermint shrimp help with the majano's ? ,I know they helped my tank with an aptasia problem a while back

Majano are gone now. Looking at some cheapies that are about 170 per 120 Watt setup. Equivalent to a 400 halide. Thinking about 2 if they will fit.
