All right i have heard that these guys are good as part of a cleaning crew but are there any bad that these guys do.....Heard 2nd hand that they also will rid your sand of the good bacteria as well as the bad any truth or opinions.

they are good to an extent. they need to have plenty of food in the sand or they will starve to death. there are people on this forum that use them and they do great the main problem with them is they eventually starve to death and they will cut down the numbers of good guys in the sand. but if you have a big enough tank I think they would do allright

I have unsucessfully kept these guys for a short period of time i see them doing their job then they just up and dissapear....I assummed that they met an untimely death but figured that it was the water quality until i did a check and found all well so Greg that explains something and i have a 75 gal something i assume is too small to keep these guys long term

yeah George that is a tough call. are you looking for something to keep the sand stirred if tht is the case I would go with a diamond goby, they work awesome and are alot easier to keep.
