#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#Well I had half a day off so I decided I would rescape my 92 gallon. I just did not like the way it look and wanted to give the fish more room to swim. So I dove in, well I got it all done (which I like a lot better) well the tank cleared and the fish began to come out and see the new lay out. Well I took a head count and I am missing a fish.....MY COPPER BANDED BUTTERFLY!!!!! I think in th middle of all the shiftng of rocks I think I may have buried the little guy :( I cannot bieleve I did such a stupid thing. The tank has been done for about an hour or so I have had my face glued to the tank looking for him. I am chalking it up to a loss. I will keep an eye on the parameters cause I am sure I will see a spike. Just thought I would share my stupid mistake with all you guys#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl#

I am sorry to hear about your missing copperband. I know he was one of your favorites. Hopefully he is just hiding. Have you tried moving any of the top rocks to see if you spot him?

well I went and moved some rock and nothing. Now this really freaks me out. I have no idea where he is at. I checked to see if maybe he jumped or was in the over flow. I will just keep an eye out

Sorry to hear that Greg. Maybe he'll surprise you and pop out in the morning. I just re-scaped while I did a major cleaning on our tank, but didn't squish anyone! I did however, find at least one of those darn gorilla crabs which explained a few things about some of my zoa damage. I have to find that little nasty now!
I'd love to see the re-scape photo of your tank! I'll show you mine if you show me yours! The tank recovered from the problems we were noticing. I'll attach a pic. Things look good, but I can't wait till everything in there shows how much better they are feeling too. I have to get that crab out before he causes anymore damage to our corals.
Good luck with your fish! .....Angel :angel7:

Any news on the little guy yet Greg? Is no news good news? *hoping* This is the hardest part about reefing! :( By the way, it isn't stupidity on your part either. It's not easy moving rocks around, preventing other rocks from shifting and such either. I smushed a hermit once and felt horrible. Sure'd like to accidently on purpose smush that Gorilla Crab running around in there!
BTW, we got your card the other day! Thanks so much!!
