Lookin to get a overflow box for my 50 breeder. What are you guys using ?I am thinking of not drilling the tank.... I have the return plumbing pieced together .Just tring to get all of my things ready before I transfer all the contents into my new tank... thanks

CPR or Eshopps-both great boxes :)

The eshopps ones use the clear u tube siphon pipes. If you loose the siphon/prime you have to start it manually. I personally dont like the taste of saltwater yuck... The cpr cs 90 and a mag 7 look like a good option..

I would drill it and use a glass holes (http://www.glass-holes.com/) overflow kit. Hang-on overflows are not worth the risk in my opinion.

Drill it, too much risk of loosing suction and having a flood

Well this is why I am thinking of not drilling the tank. There is a label in the bottom of the tank stating ! DO NOT DRILL ENCLOSER !....

I have the CPR hob overflow ..it works great but I have a new tank Tuesday with holes drilled... It starts right back up after a power outage ..but yu have to make sure the Tom airpump is still going on..otherwise it won't get suction to pull water over into the overflow..I have had to change the airpump once already and it's not a year old

Ok update after calling the tank maker... I gave them the dimensions and the assembler 's name and code the tracked down the build order. 50 gallon tempered bottom glass ok to drill the sides and back... Yea time to get my order done..
