What should I do Next

I'm trying to learn as much as possible about keeping reef and Fowlr tanks. Currently I have a 72 G FOWLR tank. I just bought a Refugium and Don't know what kind of Substrate to put in it or Algae.
Also I have a 55 G reef that I'm getting a Refugium for and was wondering if I can put my pesty Emerald Crab in the fuge with LR sand and Algae.

Just about any substrate will do. I use the same for my tank and fuge. Most common macro algae used is chaeto. Yes you can put your Emerald crab in your fuge, in your DT your taking a chance of it going after corals/snails and clams, which they are prone to doing :)
