Well, I've had a 26G bowfront set up in our bedroom for about 6 months, and I've pretty much hated it from the beginning. The distortion from the glass, the fact you can't hardly use magnet cleaners, it's hard to aquascape because it's narrow and tall, etc...

I've had a 20L sitting empty in my garage for a while, so I decided to switch everything from the bow to the 20L.

Here's a before picture of my sad, sad bowfront...

And here's a new picture of the 20L that I got set up this afternoon. The tank is still a little cloudy due to being stirred up.

When I get my new reflectors in, I'm going to take the light fixture off of the top and retro everything into the canopy that I have in the garage. Hopefully that happens this week.

I had a CPR Aquafuge on the bow that I put on the new tank, and I also had a CPR knockoff on one of my other tanks that I also put onto the 20L. One is full of cheato, and the other is full of LR rubble. I'm hoping this makes a nice combination for pods.

So far I'm liking the aquascaping. I managed to hide the heater and both pumps for the fuges.

The 20L sure gives you a lot more horizontal real estate to work with. A big improvement, I never cared much for the smaller ( < 120g ) bowfronts.

Now I just need some COLOR in the tank. I might be able to steal a couple frags from my other tanks. There's some zoos and some shrooms in the 20L right now. For inhabitants, there's a hi-fin goby, 3 emerald crabs, a peppermint shrimp and a couple snails. I'll go on a frag hunt later tonight perhaps.

What kind of lighting do the toadstools like? I think that the tank will be pretty bright once I get the parabolic reflectors on the bulbs. It probably won't be enough light for SPS, but too much for some LPS. lol
