cyano/ and blue green in the refugium.

Up until now, I havent added any livestock to the refugium. I have a big ol' bunch of Chaeto, and some grape caulepria (sp ?) but no live stock. I have seen all of the sudden a lot of cyano/slime blue green and red algae appear at the bottom on the sand. The base is rock rubble w/ a 5" sand bed on top of that. What critters should I add to the sump/refugium to control this, or will any control it at all. I also leave a PC on 24/7 over the top on reccomendation not to turn off for fear of putting the chaeto into reproduction. Hints/TIPS ? what nice little "pearls" of info do you folks have for me

As for your 24hr lighting approach,that is so CAULERPA won't go sexual on you.With Chaeto,you don't have to worry about that.For your cyano,my guess is you don't have enough flow in your refugium.Cyano thrives in low flow zones.
