Run the skimmer all the time or only at night .Not only during the day.

The skimmer will yield better results if running 24x7. As for the lighting, having the actinics only before and after the daylights is always a good idea, however don't turn them off during the photoperiod. Have them come on an hour or two before the daylights and only off and hour or two after the dayslights... they do provide some very much needed lighting for your coral that the 10K PC alone cannot provide in the shorter wavelengths.

This will also help increase the life of the tubes. There is a lot of evidence to suggest that flourescents are much like halides in the respect of the life expextancy being proportional to the number of times they are fired, running time has less of an effect so long as they have good ventilation and do not overheat.

suggestion too, get the tang out of the tank, that is too small a tank for a tang. it will out grow that tank very very quick.

may have not explained to well actint is on with the 10,000k also, as for the tang he is great and will be moved to a 110 or better when the time is right.

there is no biowheel and I agree about the water flow. though its good I would like to change it up.
