Well everyone I have this problem licked. I wanted to thank everyone for their advice that they have offered up over the past few months.

For those of you who don't know. I made a big beginner boo boo. I plumbed my chiller with brass fittings and ruined 125# of LR, 60# of sand, and possible my glass tank because silicone obsorbs copper.

This is my cure for the problem. I am selling the whole FREAKIN' thing. I am selling the LR to someone who wants to do a swim tank, the sand is going that direction too. I am gonig to sell the tank, stand and sump to a freshwater enthusist or to someone who wants fish only. I am also selling my incredibly perfect 48" coralife metal halide hood.

Then I am going to pool all that money and buy another tank. Probably something smaller. I have my eye on a 46 gallon bow front. So there is it...problem solved. Copper wins.

Thats too bad Tyler,at least you got another plan for a new tank.I am rather surprised though that you can't get rid of any residual copper in your tank.Best of luck selling everything,I hope you get what your asking for everything.
