Water Movement/Current

I currently have an external 600GPH with loss around 500-550GPH run to my tank with a 3/4" PVC pipe at a 45 Degree pumping water into my 55 Gallon tank.

I have "ok" water current, but would like to increase the current for better movement and flow in the main tank.

What suggestions or available means are there for me to increase the water flow/movement in my tank.

Maybe two small power heads? Thats what I plan to do with my 55, since the one or two outlets you have limit your "direction".

2 powerheads like a Maxi-jet1200 would help alot.In addition,I would add an internal pump like a SEIOS 820.They move lots of water at a lower velocity than powerheads because of their large nozzles.

Try 2 seio 620 or 820 power heads that will give you the water movement
you need for the best price.

The 2*620 will put you up to about 20 times tarn over that is on the low end
of good flow in my opinion

How exactly does a Maxi-Jet 1200 Powerhead work with water movement? The description I found says it is ideal for under-gravel filtration. As well does this introduce an electrical current into the tank?

Pretty much the same as the rest of your submersible pumps/powerheads.There's an intake which draws water into a small chamber.In that chamber,there's an impeller that spins pushing water out of the nozzle.The impeller has a magnetic cylinder attached to one end.That magnet sits inside a slightly larger cylinder.The motor that spins the magnet is completely isolated from the water/moving parts so you don't have to worry about electrical current in the tank.
