As some of you know I just broke down my tank. I need to know how to clean my power heads, heater, and protein skimmer. I need to REALLY REALLY clean them good. I was thinking about sticking all of them in the dishwasher with no soap...or possibly soaking all of the stuff in a tub with bleach and water. Any other ideas? This stuff needs to be clean like new!!!! Thanks. -DIRT

Try using some white vinegar, it will desolve calcium and crud quickly.

Thanks Dakar,
You just think a tub of water and a bottle of white vinegar in the water. How long should they soak, and would be ok to run the powerheads to get the vinegar inside them?

Only about a table spoon of bleach per gallon. Anythihng more will just bleach the plasic and not make much of a diffrence. I would also warm the solution you use to a point you can barley put you hands in it
