anenomes are pretty light demanding and you have to have excellent water quality!!!! I would do some research on them

Already did and I have a condy that is doing preaty good. Someone at the lfssaid that my lights might cook them. Just checking with some of you more experienced guys if it was true or not.

think a 250Watt 6500K would be enough light?

Did I read that right... you already have a condi in that tank?

Yes you read that right. He is doing so good that I picked up another one but I'm not sure about him. He didn't look so good at the store but for $4.00 I figured I'd give him a try.

Condis aren't typically anemones that clownfish host. They're also a dime a dozen. They might sting some corals if they wander around the tank. Some anemones can pack a brutal sting. The LTA I have isn't bad, but the GBTA has a more powerful sting, at least when I've touched them on accident. :)

If you've got a condi (or two) in the 10 now, I for sure wouldn't add an LTA. Heck, I wouldn't put an LTA in a 10 anyway, even if you didn't have a Condi in there.

I am planing to convert my 75 gal fw to salt in the next six months so I thought maby if I got a small on it would work. I know that both of my anems will outgrow even my 75. I dont expect my clown to host with any anem. he is quite content with the spot under the shelf of LR he found and as long as he is happy so am I. The condis I have both seam to have found a home they like and my other corals are not close enough to get stung.

In captivity, you'd be hard pressed to have an anemone, especially a Condi, live long enough to outgrow a 75.

really I saw a pic of the guy at the lfs tank and his is in a 75 and it is HUGE.

There's lot of different kinds of anemones. LTA and carpets can get huge. They just have demanding needs.

in my many years of this obsestion i have lost too many anemones but for some stupid reason(they are cool when you have a clown)I keep trying my luck...longest i have had one was 2 years and he didn't grown much...he was a lta. I read that a carpet can be nice at first but then fish will start missing even the clowns that host in them are fair game if they get the urge..
