I am looking at ato's and am leaning to the liter 2 ato. I use my liter meter 3 for make up now but need to use the third pump for mag. Getting tired of hand doaseing it. So the big question is ?? Anyone useing this one ?? Any input would be appreciated.

I've never use this ATO. But would hands down recommend an osmolator (the original). Pricey, yes, but very reliable and the one issue I had TUNZE repaired for free (years after any warranty was in effect). There's a new nano version that may also suit your needs.

I haven't used the one you are referring to. I purchased a DIY kit and use an Aqualifter pump. It is pumped from a 10G tank that I keep Kalk ATO water in. I have a 45G BRUTE that I keep filled with fresh water and just pump it into the ATO tank when needed. Usually once a week.

I just went to the site and took a closer look at this system. While I'm a big fan of SpectraPure's product line, this seems over priced. I don't like the fact that the float switches are held in place with suction cups. Those things never hold long-term. And that the main sensor is so big and bulky. There may be a reason nobody has one of these.

i use Elos. it works well but i think a couple things could be changes to make it work better for everyones tanks, like a longer cable to the pump.

I have been using the Spectrapure UPLC-II for over 5 years now and it has been an excellent purchase, one of the best things I ever did.

In my opinion, and i did a lot of reserach before buying, it is way better than the Tunze. Much smaller footprint, the adjustability is endless making it impossible to overflow even if it failed and the peristaltic pump is bulletproof. I have never replaced the silicone tubing yet in over 5 years use.

The suction cups are not the best but a single dab of silicone on the cups and they stay put. Really not an issue at all and much smaller than the contraptions the others use. The main sensor is a little 1/2 or 5/8" clear tube about 5" long, not big or obtrusive at all? It has a back up float switch but to tell you the truth I disconnected mine 2 years ago and never had any issues.

I would not hesitate to buy another one or to recommend it to my friends, you can't get any better.

Quick ??. I was looking at the PDF . Installation say's to put the sensor tube down 2" in the water. I was under the impression that this unit was more accurate then that. 2"'s in my sump is about 4.5 gallons !! No way I can have that kind of swing! Can you put the sensor tube in higher to reduce the amount before the unit comes on ?? How sensitive is the unit?? I am assuming the water line has to be bellow the sensor tube before the unit turns on? Or does this unit actually hold a vacum and sense the diffrence ??Any info would be appreciated. I was under the impression that it could maintain the water level within .100"
Oops. Just noticed the note that explains how to set the minimum level. This thing should be sweet ! Now that is some control!

Well the ATO came in today. Was concerned about the size of the units but really it doesn't take up much room. It was very easy to set up and so far has maintained the levels so closely that If I didn't hear the tube slapping the wall I wouldn't have even know it was working ! I did fix that tho ! Lol here's some pics! I highly recommend this ATO.
