My 18W Turbo Twist arrived today. I plan on getting it setup, but here is the questions I have on my setup.

1 Run the return pipe through the main return line from the pump
2 Put a T in the return pipe so that 1 line has unrestricted flow, and the other flows through the steralizer
3 Add a small 200-300 GPH powerhead to the ref area to run water through the steralizer.
4 Run the overflow pipe through the steralizer
5 T the overflow pipe to run through the steralizer

Any tips/tricks/ideas/thoughts?

Thanks

Instead of adding onto your overflow, I'd drive the UV with a powerhead to match the rate of flow that you want through it. The amount of sterilization is dependant on the amount of time the water takes to pass through the unit, with a separate pump you can better gauge that rate.

Ok, so on the powerhead how exactly would I set that up, or should set it up?

Return pump baffle area, in the refugium... etc and what powerheads would best suite the setup.

18W Turbo Twist Steralizer is the type I have.

Thanks,

Check the manual and and see what the reccommended flow rates are, then size your powerhead accordingly. We ran one for a a while and just had it taking it's source water from the sump and the output weent into the the refuge(it was a 3' unit)... but dumping back into a high-flow area of the sump would be just as good. For dependability I'd use something like a MaxiJet, they seem almost bullet-proof.
