I have a 75g FOWLR tank w/seaclone 150 skimmer and a marineland tidepool wet/dry filter... I'm currently growing macroalgae in the main tank but it keeps going sexual and screwing up my water. I want to add a refugium but am tossed on whether to use a hang on or sump based system...

Any suggestions on how to add, what type to add, and what the lower cost option would be????

Thanks!

There are a lot of places you can buy a fuge for a VERY cheap price. you may be able to find one here at this link ... http://www.captivereefing.com/forumdisplay.php?f=22
or you could find a local marine aquarium club and join thier forum boards also. I do them both when i am looking for something. i usually end up going with the LMAC because of shipping costs, but on livestock i am going to start getting things here, because of the quality.
I quess it just depends on where you are and if you even have a LMAC.

On the other note, i have a fuge built into my sump and works great (when i get another pump). i have no problems with it (wxcept when my pump died on me). but either one will work. the reason i went with a in supm fuge, is just the size factor.
