so over the past few years, whenever a swap comes near. there are always those people who say they wish that swaps went back to trading rather than selling. i've always agreed. but I also want to take it up a notch and try something new.

im going to be setting up my usual swap tank for the flint swap. I will have it divided in half. a take one side and a leave one side. pretty much the rules are just going to be as follows.

take anything you want from the first side, though for every frag you take you must leave one on there other. all I ask you try try to make it a fair trade, and no cash deals.

I will then walk away from my table for the entire swap, only stopping by occasionally to make minor adjustments ( maybe move something I already have back to the take from side.)

I think this would be an interesting experiment, what are your thoughts?

I would hope not. im also kinda hoping that surrounding vendors will keep an eye on it, not to take away from their own tables but just to make sure someone isn't grabbing handfuls out of the tank

I would like to think that Saltwater people are Classy.

This is not Freshwater you know.

I think this is a really neat idea... I know I personally may not be comfortable making the trade without you being there though. I've pretty much only got run-of-the-mill softies and would be too worried about making an unfair trade (I don't know anything about the named colors, ect.)

I do think actual trading at the swap is a really cool plan.

I just want YOU to do what you think is fair. Ive been in the hobby for a few years, made a lot of friends and collected a lot of coral. At this point im not overly picky. My number one hope for this project is for me to come home with corals I dont already have. Regardless of their value. Bring some of your softies and please participate in my project.
