Hello, I had a Sebae Anemone in my tank but my clowns would NEVER go to it. Unforuntetly, it died which I heard is fairly common with this type of anemone. Now, I want my clown to host something, but what will it host? I have a perucla clownfish in a 20 gallon tank! What kind of corals will host the fish? Thanks so much!:fish2:

+1 with Miz. For a 20 gallon you are pretty much stuck with lps as a host. As a rule an anemone that is to host clownfish must be at least 1.5 to 2 times bigger in diameter than the length of the largest hosting clown so that the fish don't kill the anemone. Clownfish will host quite a bit if different corals. Long tentacle plates, mushrooms, toadstools, acans, sinularia, zooanthids, brain corals, any of the frogspawn family, and I've even seen a clown hosting an elegant coral.

noahfrei how's your tank doing? Haven't heard from you in a while and keep forgetting to ask your dad about it.

I was lucky, I had a Sebae anemone for 22 years, bought it Memorial Day 1990, first in a 20G high then later in a 18G bowfront and it thrived with a pair of percs. Today I have a RBTA in a 16G bowfront for two clowns.
