Help!! Just got back from vacation, red algea on glass!!

Ok,, so i've been gone for 7 days and the tank goes to poop,,,so I havent been on vacation before leaving my tank and when i arrived home i have a red algea film on glass,,, planning on doing a water change of course,, but does anyone have any other suggestions for the red algea?? My ammonia is sky high never been this high ever,,,, it's a 1.0,the nitrate is 25 and all others are normal range at this time,,,on a 75 gallon.my fish colors are fading,, and i've stepped up the protein skimmer taking stuff out of cup every, 15 minutes here now for an hour..but need to get to bed and wake up in morning to do some serious maintnance,,so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated... i've got:
2 clowns
1 damnsel
1coral beauty
1 cleaner shrimp
many hermits and snails
and have some soft corals as well.now they look to be doing fair.

Sounds like a lot of manual extraction of the cyano is order to start with... then usual maintainance to get things back to normal.

One of those things that makes questioning whether a vacation can ever be a good thing.

I have added a powerhead,, hoping flow will help for this not to happen again,, besides doing major cleaning overhaul... But the problem is i cleaned my existing powerhead and and added one and both are spitting out microbubbles at times. why does this happen,, andi have had some vortex{tornadic) water flow occasionally,, do i need to be worried about this,,, it has gettone better in the last 12 hours,,, of course just concerned about how it will effect everyone in tank. thanks again for any suggestions.

no more microbubbles.. but still red algea,, did another WC,cleaned out everything!! and still red algea coating the walls and top of sand,,, this is very frustrating,,, do i need to add something??? Never added anything before little nervous about doing that,,, but not even 2 ours of cleaning everything it is getting that red haze on it,, what should i do??

For the 7 days were you having someone feed the tank ? Sounds like it might have been overfed hence the high levels. Keep changing water, and keep skimming and be patient. the biggest thing is get that ammonia down. Try not feeding for a couple of days, or cutting way way back. Also try knocking your lighting times way down. your micro bubbles are coming from within the powerhead as it evacuates small pockets of air slowly

First, you should lock up the ammonia. Amquel works well. Then I'd do a series of large 40-50% water changes and manually remove as much of the cyano as possible. An increase of water flow in that area also helps as well as using a phosphate binder. Good luck!

did another big water change,, ammonia looking better and the red haze is better,, this morning when lights turned on, the sand was fine,, but in 2 hours it had a little haze,, less each time,, so am i conquering it??
