xenia's splitting off on me....

Well, I have a new pusling xenia thats been in the tank for about 3-4 weeks. Doing well, and lots of pulsing.... I have noticed numerous new buds, and today I noticed that its starting to wander or at least a couple of the branchs are. I imagine soon if it keeps doing this I should have a pretty good xenia patch going on.

Just to be sure from what I've read this is normal for these guys, but cant find any info if this is do to something in the tank kicking them off to do this ?

I have also noticed some of my mushrooms splitting too.

Whats to expect with the splitting ?

it they split you will have more xenia and mushrooms !! if they don't you won't !! if they do they will usually split into different shrooms. they will usually also have 2 mouths before splitting also.

right on.... I just was kind of freaked based on the newness of the xenia.... But I guess Ill just have more xenia

you may want to think off dosing with iodine until they are healed if you don't already. iodine, as with humans, helps in the healing process.
