I was thinking of adding a LED strip to my present fixture to give tank alittle more color this is what i was looking at Aquarium LED Lights: Current USA TrueLumen Pro LED Striplights (http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?c=3578+3733+10704+23510&pcatid=23510) what do you think? I looked at reefbrites but their to expensive. I would have to be creative on mounting them but i dont see a real problem

That's probably a decent solution. What is your current light set up? Are you looking to just add fluorescence to the corals, or are you also looking to add shimmer? Answering these questions will help us to answer your yours.

I would like color to the corals.I'm using a coralife t5ho 4x39w two actinic two 10,000k. I'm used to having 20,000k oon my old tank but can't get that color in 39w bulbs the other option iwas thinking was to anchor 2 pcs of 1/2 alum angle to each side and getting some of those adhesive led strips but the current struips looked interesting I'm limited on $

If you have a 36" tank and are using T5HO. I recommend at a minimum that you switch to ATI bulbs. There are more color varieties (so you can get the 20K look), they provide a much higher quality light, and it will cost less than the $175 (140 for the LEDs + 35 for the power supply).

As far as the LEDs you linked to... I don't have any experience with them.

Agree with what Tom says. I use 2x ATI AquaBlue Specials & 2x Blue Plus. The Specials definitely give you the 20k look :)

yeah i know but as long as things are healthy i have time to research choices. ib finally got my nitrate lvls down to 10 ppm so thats good but like anything else in this hobby there's always something else to pique interest lol
