I just got a 24g Nanocube "Next Generation" LED nano, i am used to MH's with no real knowledge of anything LED. Powered by 13 CREE LED's, 1.3W 8 blue, 5 white. Am i limited to softies/LPS or are clams/sps possible without any modification to the lighting. Not just monti's, pocci, digi's, etc. but the more light demanding sps.

You should be able to keep anything you want as long as you have enough PAR

Approximate PAR readings:
420 at 2”
265 at 6”
80 at 12”

i pulled that off of a website if that helps with anything

Really depends on if those readings are "air" readings or "underwater" readings. Most companies use air readings since they are higher and allow for easier comparison between fixtures (since differences in water clarity and surface agitation could skew results). Once you add water surface reflection and absorption will lower actual PAR values.

What has me concerned is that it uses 1.3 watt LEDs. The nicer, more powerful fixtures use 3 watt LEDs. Can you post a link to the product?

Those par readings were taken from a person who bought it so im going to "guess" that it is probably after surface reflection but i cant be sure and here is the link to the actual product-
